Are you on the fence about joining the Genesis series?

Illuminating Scripture for Women to be
Encouraged, Equipped, and Engaged

Reader,

After our first session on understanding Genesis as literature, one participant shared her thoughts with me. She expressed how eye-opening it was to explore Genesis from a literary perspective. It allowed her to see the text in a whole new light, appreciating its narrative and symbolism more deeply. That's why I'm writing to you today—I would hate for you to miss it!

If the commitment factor is holding you back, I completely understand. As women, no matter where we are in life, our calendars are often overflowing. I was there myself last year, struggling to keep up with the once-a-week schedule. That's why I decided to try a once-a-month format. It requires minimal time from you while still offering a rich and immersive study experience. Plus, as one participant from last month put it, 'Thank goodness I have a whole month to soak in this lesson. It's a lot to chew on!'

If you're concerned about missing any sessions, don't worry—I've got you covered. Our Tuesday night Zoom Room sessions are recorded, allowing you to catch up at your convenience.

The first two sessions of our study lay down crucial foundations, which is why registration remains open, but only until the end of this week. It still gives you time to catch up by listening to Genesis before we delve into the story of Eve next week.

"I learned so much about the context, historical background, and intricate details of the Genesis narrative—things I never knew before. This deeper understanding has already changed the way I engage with Scripture; there's a richness to the words that I never appreciated until now. I realize there's so much more to the story, and it moves me to live out its teachings in my daily life. Plus the exchange of thoughts and questions with fellow women in the group has been invaluable. It's a special dynamic that I eagerly anticipate each time we meet. This group has become a source of inspiration and growth that I truly look forward to!" Joelle L.

Still undecided or have questions lingering in your mind? Don't hesitate to hit reply and share what you are thinking with me! I'm here to address any questions you have.

Findings, Sharings & Offerings Reader Happy first of the month and Canada Day! Yesterday, I sat down with one of my favorite practices: a monthly reflection from the Full Focus Planner. I spend about 30 minutes on this; I don’t overthink it and just write what comes to mind. I also keep my planner, photos on my phone, and Bible journal nearby to prompt my memory. It's been a very beneficial practice, and I’m always surprised by what surfaces. Over time, I’ve tweaked the questions to help me,...

Illuminating Scripture for Women to beEncouraged, Equipped, and Engaged Friends! I am excited to share that it’s FINALLY ready! After countless hours of editing, learning technology (or at least trying to), and overcoming setbacks, I’ve re-released the study I taught last year, "The Women Around the Cross," as an e-course! Artwork by Holly Pennington Feedback from last year's participants was to make the study available to share with their friends. They had two main requests: make it easy to...

Findings, Sharings & Offerings Reader This may seem like a small thing to share—maybe you haven’t even noticed it—but I recently started signing off my emails “with you.” It’s not a random choice that felt right; it was intentional. Back in January, I was listening to a Carey Nieuwhof podcast (can’t recall the exact one), and his guest talked about how kids don’t want youth pastors just doing stuff “to them” or “for them”; they want someone who’s genuinely “with them.” That will preach. But...
