Will I see you this week?

Illuminating Scripture for Women to be
Encouraged, Equipped, and Engaged

Reader,

One of the things I found so incredible studying the Woman at the Well last year; was how often we ended up in the Old Testament. It is so amazing to see the entire Bible connect in ways I hadn't seen before. It brought so much depth to not only understanding the relationship between Jesus and the Woman at the Well, but also to the WHOLE BIBLE.

I have been asked a few times, "Why do you only do studies on women in Scripture?" After 4 study series, I have come to see that by studying women, they connect us to relationships with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, their community and the men around them.

I can guarantee you, with this upcoming study you will not only understand Genesis more deeply, you will also learn about the women and their relationships and stories AND it will take us into the New Testament more often than you might think!

One of the other questions I am asked is, "What if I can't make the Zoom time?" With registration, you will receive a link to the recording each time for you to listen to. I am also working on including an audio recording only, so you don't feel you have to sit down and watch me!

First Ladies: A Look at the Women in Genesis

During this once-a-month study, we will deeply look at every. single. one of the women in Genesis. The good, the hard, and the difficult. And how their stories reveal God's love for them, and for us!

The first two sessions are foundational as we survey Genesis and Eve as our blueprint.

Findings, Sharings & Offerings Reader Happy first of the month and Canada Day! Yesterday, I sat down with one of my favorite practices: a monthly reflection from the Full Focus Planner. I spend about 30 minutes on this; I don’t overthink it and just write what comes to mind. I also keep my planner, photos on my phone, and Bible journal nearby to prompt my memory. It's been a very beneficial practice, and I’m always surprised by what surfaces. Over time, I’ve tweaked the questions to help me,...

Illuminating Scripture for Women to beEncouraged, Equipped, and Engaged Friends! I am excited to share that it’s FINALLY ready! After countless hours of editing, learning technology (or at least trying to), and overcoming setbacks, I’ve re-released the study I taught last year, "The Women Around the Cross," as an e-course! Artwork by Holly Pennington Feedback from last year's participants was to make the study available to share with their friends. They had two main requests: make it easy to...

Findings, Sharings & Offerings Reader This may seem like a small thing to share—maybe you haven’t even noticed it—but I recently started signing off my emails “with you.” It’s not a random choice that felt right; it was intentional. Back in January, I was listening to a Carey Nieuwhof podcast (can’t recall the exact one), and his guest talked about how kids don’t want youth pastors just doing stuff “to them” or “for them”; they want someone who’s genuinely “with them.” That will preach. But...
